His name is Sam Sparro Sha-zam!

I like it. The words are from Black & Gold, btw.

It's evident; I still have a gargantuan crush on Sparroboy and I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon. It's not really about his looks (though I won't deny his good looks make it all the easier for me to admire him) but rather his superb chocolate vocals! About a month back or so, I heard Black & Gold and thought "Smooth black singer, I gotta check him out" but I never got around to it. Only a few days ago did that song resurface to the topmost of my thoughts when a friend let me listen to it and mentioned that the guy's name was Sam Sparro. Googled it to find a spankin' hawt boy and thinking "Daaaaamn that voice came from a white boy?! Awesome!!!"

His vocal range is really splendid, he can do anything from a falsetto to a baritone in a snap! He's the NuRave Kid on the block with a touch of funk and soul and I loooove it. His debut album is nothing short of refreshing, it's really a different lot from what you hear on mainstream radio nowadays.

I like his oversized white frames, he has such a quirky fashion sense.

Sam Sparro's self titled debut album is a must get if you're tired of the junk floating around on radio. Recommended tracks include "Black and Gold", "Recycle It" and "Pocket". "Cottonmouth" has got funny lyrics too. I'm half convinced his slipping in the word "discombobulated" leaves me easily impressed. He did a cover of Estelle's "American Boy" on BBC Radio1 and I personally think he outdid the original singer by a mile. That's also worth a listen.

In short, if Sam Sparro were to come here to perform, I would definitely be raring to watch him live! A rave party with him and Klaxons, that'd be the ticket! Sighhh.
Singapore concert organisers, PLEASE get Sam Sparro and Klaxons to come here!
Oh and bring Muse back again, I swear I'll be a good girl till then!
WO QIU QIU NI. (however you spell it, stick the 1 2 3 4's where appropriate)

On a totally different note, this video never fails to crack me up. It features a parody of the Tamil movie industry. FFW to the 3:20 part and the hilarity ensues till the 5:45 minute.

"Yenna rascal ah! Mind it!"

"Pussycat, pussycat where have you been? Have you been to London to see the Queen? Go see the queen!"

"Yenna fly! Yenna die!"

I'm gonna make "Yenna rascal ah! Mind it!" my catchphrase someday soon.
Just you wait for it. Heck, I'm beginning to think anything ending with an "- it" sounds smashing enough already.

With that, I think it's turning out to be a beautiful weekend. Family Day Out tomorrow, or rather later! Hopefully it'll be all good. We haven't been behaving like a normal family in months, much less a proper family outing. Teenage sister's starting to be so emo and angsty, y'know? She's getting to be a bit of an exasperating twerp, getting on my nerves with her nightly telephone chats with God-knows-who. (It's amusing overall, though) And other related stuffs along with it.

I'ma buzz out.
Check ya laterrrr.
