Anywayyy, I digress.
King Lear was simply awesome, though some parts made me really drowsy. I think I even dozed off somewhere in Act 2, till I was given a pleasant surprise when Edgar stripped off his clothes. Dang, Edgar's bod (or at least, the person playing him) is not half bad.
Edmund, on the other hand, is HOT. And his kissing scenes with the 2 female baddies! (I thought the one with Regan was sexy though Regan was not sexy, ha ha.) Gloucester did a fine job producing his 2 boys, I tell you.

Moving away from aesthetics, the sound effects that were used throughout the play was magnificent and the sound of thunder was very convincing, it had me jumping out of my seat the first time I heard it. Oh yes, and the hanging of the Fool was just so cool. The fact that his character died is tragic, yeah, but the way he hanged him was rad. Also, Sir Ian Mckellen as King Lear was splendid, in my opinion. I thought he was really funny in Act 1 where he sets a love test for his daughters, and the part where he went mad. Otherwise, he was a bit of a silly old geezer at other times.

So yes, that's my take on the play for you.
